Who they are
Olaf is an Iceborn warrior from Lokfar who was given a prophecy of a peaceful death, a fate he considers cowardly. He wants only to die in glorious combat.
He serves as a brutal enforcer for Winter's Claw, wielding True Ice axes.
Their story belongs to The Freljord. Three tribes, one frozen land, and something sealed beneath the ice.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
A boaster from Lokfar
Olaf grew up in Lokfar in the Freljord, a land of constant warfare. He became famous for his fighting and often boasted, which annoyed some of his tribe.
- Step 2
The prophecy
After one boastful night an elder had his fate read, and it foretold a long life and a peaceful death. In his culture that is a coward's end, so he set out to find a warrior's death.
- Step 3
Testing himself
He took on ever tougher foes, including the frost serpent Grellfeen, and fought a ghostly Krakenwyrm during a Harrowing in Bilgewater, travelling with Lucian and Miss Fortune. He found that when enraged, nothing could hurt him.
- Step 4
Joining Winter's Claw
He challenged Winter's Claw and finally fought its leader Sejuani, in a duel that shook glaciers. She spared him and offered him a place, promising the glorious death he wanted.
- Step 5
Sentinels and Cauldron
He joined the Sentinels of Light against Viego's Ruination, guiding them through the Freljord, then returned to normal life afterward. He now serves as Winter's Claw's enforcer in its bid to take the Great Cauldron of Ornn from Volibear and the Ursine.
