Gragas is a massive brewer who travels the Freljord's icy wastes in search of the ultimate recipe. He found a magical ice shard that gave his lager remarkable properties.
His drunken meddling in tribal talks once sparked celebration instead of war. He is rowdy and destructive but stays devoted to his craft.

Their story, step by step
- Step 1
The search for the ultimate ale
Gragas came from parts unknown and became obsessed with brewing the perfect ale. When he had worn out every available keg, he decided to invent the ultimate brew himself. His search led him to the Freljord.
- Step 2
True Ice
Looking for pure arctic water, he got lost in a blizzard and found a shard of True Ice that does not melt. It gave his lager unusual properties and kept it perfectly chilled.
- Step 3
The brawl that kept the peace
Under the influence of his new drink he stumbled into talks between two tribes thinking of allying with Ashe, and the warriors resented him. He answered with a headbutt that started a brawl. Afterward Ashe suggested sharing drinks and the tribes bonded over his brew.

The Watchers, beings from the Void with no form of their own, turned humans of the Freljord into immortal Iceborn who served them and prepared the world for oblivion.

Avarosa led an Iceborn rebellion against the Watchers, and her sister Lissandra wove a spell of True Ice that entombed them beneath the Howling Abyss. Lissandra paid for it with her sisters and now watches the seal.

Demigods shaped the early Freljord. Ornn, the craftsman, withdrew after his conflict with the storm-god Volibear ended the Hearthblood civilization.

Ashe leads the Avarosan, who want a united Freljord. Sejuani leads the Winter's Claw, who follow raiding and tradition. Lissandra leads the Frostguard, who keep the seals. The True Ice holding the Watchers weakens a little more every year.
