Who they are
Jinx is a Zaunite who attacked Piltover's Council, which set off the occupation and war that followed. She killed Silco, her adoptive father, and she is Vi's sister.
Their story belongs to Zaun and also touches Piltover. The smoggy undercity where unregulated science pushes back.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
Powder in Zaun
Jinx began life as Powder, born in Zaun to the miners Felicia and Connol. After her parents died in Vander and Silco's failed uprising against Piltover, Vander adopted her and her older sister Vi. She grew up in the Last Drop bar with adoptive brothers Mylo and Claggor and showed a talent for marksmanship and engineering.
- Step 2
A disastrous night
A heist on a wealthy Piltovan went wrong when Powder accidentally set off hextech crystals and destroyed a building. Later she built a bomb meant to help rescue Vander from Silco, and the blast killed Mylo, Claggor and Vander and badly hurt Vi.
- Step 3
Becoming Jinx
Powder believed Vi had abandoned her, took the name Jinx, and was taken in by Silco. Under him she refined her devices into weapons such as Pow-Pow, Fishbones and Chompers.
- Step 4
Piltover's Most Wanted
She became known as the Loose Cannon and later Piltover's Most Wanted. She fired a hextech rocket at the Council, killing several councilors, including Caitlyn's mother, which led to occupation and war.

Silco's death and surrender
She killed Silco, her adoptive father, and the League account then has her turning herself in to the authorities after Isha's death.

From port city to undercity
Zaun began as an ancient seafaring port sacred to Janna. Around 772 AN the site was drowned in a catastrophic excavation, and it was rebuilt as the undercity below Piltover.

Chemtech and Shimmer
Without rules, Zaun's alchemists pushed science further. Singed's Shimmer serum can enhance soldiers and also became a major illegal drug that drives the underground economy.

The Day of Ash and Silco
Vander and Silco led a failed uprising on the Day of Ash, and hundreds died. Silco then built a criminal empire on Shimmer until his adopted daughter Jinx killed him.

A fractured city
After Silco the Chembarons split, Piltover occupied the undercity, Noxus intervened and Viktor rose to prominence. Zaun is now represented in Piltover's politics, but the peace is uneasy.
