Who they are

Vi comes from Zaun's undercity and ended up working alongside Piltover's Enforcers. Her sister is Jinx.

Their story belongs to Piltover and also touches Zaun. The city of progress, built on top of the city it ignores.

Their story, step by step

  1. Step 1

    Growing Up in Zaun

    Vi was born in Zaun's undercity and lost her parents young. She and her younger sister Powder were raised by Vander, who took in other orphans too. As a teenager she took part in heists and brawls to prove herself.

  2. Step 2

    The Night Everything Broke

    A job in Piltover and a night of violence in the undercity ended with her friends dead and Vander lost to her. In her grief she lashed out at Powder, calling her a jinx. Vi was then taken to Stillwater Prison without trial.

  3. Step 3

    Prison and Caitlyn

    Vi spent years in Stillwater and was sustained by the thought of finding her sister again. Investigator Caitlyn Kiramman eventually came to her and Vi agreed to guide her through Zaun, learning her sister now went by Jinx and worked for Silco.

  4. Step 4

    Becoming an Enforcer

    After Silco's fall, Vi joined Caitlyn's Enforcer strike team, hunting what was left of his operation and trying to reach Jinx. The effort cost her the partnership with Caitlyn for a time and she drifted into pit fighting.

  5. Step 5

    The Present

    Vi now serves as a Piltover Enforcer and is in a relationship with Caitlyn. Jinx's whereabouts and her talk of breaking the cycle remain open.

    The Day of Ash was a massacre that followed undercity revolutionaries' push for independence. Years later Jinx attacked the Council, Piltover occupied the undercity and a brutal war followed. It ended in an uneasy new arrangement that gives Zaun representation.
