Who they are
Corki is a yordle from Bandle City who settled in Piltover and became fascinated with advanced machines and flight. He is known for his flying skill and for staying calm under fire.
He leads a group of veteran pilots called the Screaming Yipsnakes, who act as an aerial defense force. He is optimistic and tends to ramble about his passions.
Their story belongs to Bandle City and also touches Piltover. A pocket of the spirit realm where yordles live, and time runs strange.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
A yordle with wings
Corki is a yordle from Bandle City, known there as one of its most decorated aeronauts. Fascinated by mechanical flight, he left home and settled in Piltover to build flying machines.
- Step 2
Flying Teemo
When Teemo needed rides to Piltover and Zaun, Corki volunteered. Teemo found his constant talking tiring. At a Progress Day event he challenged an inventor's hextech glider and crashed into it, wrecking the device while his own copter survived.
- Step 3
Trouble in Bilgewater
After Teemo vanished, Tristana organised a search. She gave Corki and Lulu busywork to keep them out of it, but he found out and followed her to Bilgewater. There Malcolm Graves had caged Tristana and Teemo to sell them.
- Step 4
The rescue
Corki charged in and crashed his copter as a distraction, and Lulu's magic helped. Graves recaptured Corki, but Lulu turned Graves into a gromp and Twisted Fate carried him off. The group went home with Teemo's new pet sea worm, Fluffy.
Turning points
- Leaving Bandle City to chase flight in Piltover
- Following Tristana to Bilgewater
- Crashing his copter to save his friends
Where their story stands now
Corki leads the Screaming Yipsnakes, an aerial defence force, and keeps flying. Riot's lore notes canon inconsistencies in his story, so little else is firmly settled.
Who they are tied to
- Teemo →Corki ferried Teemo on his scouting trips, and the two admire each other even though Corki's chatter wears Teemo out.
- Tristana →Corki is happy to help on Tristana's missions, though she tends to treat him as past his prime.
- Lulu →Lulu worked beside him in the rescue and used her magic to help the plan succeed.
- Graves →Graves captured Tristana and Teemo and then caught Corki too, making him a hostile enemy.
- Twisted Fate →Twisted Fate seemed indifferent to Corki, and in the rescue he carried off Graves.
Where this fits in the story
- Bandle City · step 1
Where it is
Bandle City exists in the spirit realm and connects to Runeterra through magical gateways and bandlewoods, places where spirit magic seeps into the material world.
- Bandle City · step 2
How it is run
There is no real government. Tristana leads the Bandle Gunners, and the Bandle Scouts keep a rulebook about adventure and teamwork.
- Bandle City · step 3
Yordles in the world
Many yordles live elsewhere. Kennen joined Ionia's Kinkou Order, Poppy became a legendary Demacian warrior and Heimerdinger is an inventor in Piltover.
- Bandle City · step 4
An ancient people
Yordles built their gateway system thousands of years ago. The discovery of Gnar, a prehistoric yordle frozen in time, suggests they are an ancient race.
