Who they are
Gnar is a prehistoric yordle who was frozen in time. His discovery suggests yordles are an ancient race.
Their story belongs to Bandle City. A pocket of the spirit realm where yordles live, and time runs strange.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
A young yordle in the north
Gnar was born more than nine thousand years ago in what became the Freljord. He was a young yordle full of energy who lived openly among the northern tribes. He had a big temper for his size and made a favorite boomerang from a drüvask jawbone.
- Step 2
Frozen in time
When a huge monster emerged from an abyss during conflict between mortal tribes and celestial yordles, Gnar's urge to protect his friends overwhelmed him. He changed into a massive beast to defend them. The sorceress Lissandra used True Ice against the Watchers and froze Gnar by accident.
- Step 3
Waking up
After thousands of years he broke free and found a world that had changed completely. He does not remember being trapped or how he got out. His boomerang came with him.
Turning points
- Turned into a beast to protect his friends
- Was frozen by Lissandra's True Ice
- Woke up in a changed world
Where their story stands now
Gnar wanders the Freljord as a childlike hunter with no home, collecting treasures and still able to turn into a destructive beast when angry. Much about his past, his transformation and whether he will meet other yordles remains unknown.
