Who they are
LeBlanc is a pale sorceress who has manipulated Noxian politics and wider continental affairs for over a thousand years. She uses illusion, cloning, shapeshifting and teleportation, and prefers to work through proxies rather than direct confrontation.
As leader of the Black Rose cabal, she pursues power and influence from the shadows, and her true motives remain unclear.
Their story belongs to Noxus. An empire that rewards strength, wherever it comes from.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
An old sorceress
LeBlanc was born over a thousand years ago with a gift for illusion. Her early life is mostly undocumented, and even her original name is unknown.
- Step 2
Bringing down Mordekaiser
She served Mordekaiser as an acolyte, then proposed a pact to the blood mage Vladimir. Their dark magic cut Mordekaiser off from the material world and sealed away Atakhan and Tybaulk, the foundation of her power.
- Step 3
The Black Rose
After the Rune Wars she and Vladimir founded the Black Rose, gathering powerful mages and steering Noxus's nobles and wars. She recruited the poisoned noblewoman Elise and, disguised herself as a Demacian soldier to keep King Jarvan I from being rescued from Sion.
- Step 4
Playing Darkwill and Swain
Under Boram Darkwill she faked her own execution by manipulating Jericho Swain into exposing the cabal. Swain later returned empowered by Raum and had Darkwill killed, and her attempts to assassinate him repeatedly failed.
- Step 5
Feud with Ambessa
The Medarda feud included LeBlanc kidnapping and killing Ambessa's son Kino and recruiting Ambessa's daughter Mel. At the Hexgate she killed Ambessa, but Mel turned on her and took Ambessa's forces back to Noxus.
- Step 6
Demon and Darkin
LeBlanc enslaved the demon Atakhan and sent him after the Darkin weapon Zaahen in Ionia, but Xin Zhao bonded with Zaahen and destroyed Atakhan. She learned that demons can be killed and remains Matron of the Black Rose in the Immortal Bastion.
