Alistar

A minotaur warrior who escaped Noxian gladiator slavery and now fights for the oppressed.

Who they are

Alistar is a minotaur from the Great Barrier mountains whose clan was destroyed by the Noxian empire. He was enslaved and forced to fight as a gladiator in Noxian arenas.

A servant girl's kindness helped him break free. Now he seeks vengeance on Noxus, protects the oppressed and tries to atone for the brutal acts he committed in captivity.

Their story belongs to Wanderers and also touches Noxus. Demons, spirits and ancient survivors that belong to no single place.

Their story, step by step

  1. Step 1

    A minotaur of the Great Barrier

    Alistar was born into the minotaur clans of the Great Barrier mountains, who guarded the trade routes to Zaun. He was respected as a noble warrior and wanted closer ties between minotaurs and other peoples, an idea most clans rejected.

  2. Step 2

    Refusing Noxus

    When Noxus asked the clans to help it conquer Basilich, it sent an emissary named Lady Tewain. Alistar distrusted Noxus and led fifty warriors to refuse, but other clans had already agreed. They were attacked, and Alistar killed Noxian soldiers and betraying minotaurs and strangled Tewain before being captured.

  3. Step 3

    The arena

    He was taken to the Noxian capital and forced to fight as a gladiator. In the twenty-one-day Fleshing he emerged as his tribe's sole survivor, and the violence slowly wore down his sense of self.

  4. Step 4

    A kindness

    A servant girl named Ayelia visited his cell each day with kindness, the first he had known in years. She had lost people to Noxian conquest too, and they planned an escape. His memories of home began to return.

  5. Step 5

    Escape and loss

    During their escape on a cargo barge, Noxian agents attacked. Alistar fell into a rage while defending Ayelia, and when he came to, the barge was gone and she had vanished, either captured or escaped. After Swain's coup shifted Noxian attention, he now moves through Noxian territory stirring rebellion and searching for her.

Where their story stands now

    Alistar escaped Noxian gladiator slavery, Nami left her underwater tribe to save it, Shaco is a marionette turned jester, and Senna turns the Black Mist against itself to free trapped souls.
