Who they are
Gwen was a doll brought to life by a fragment of Isolde's soul combined with the Hallowed Mist. She fights with enchanted scissors, needles and thread, protecting others from the Black Mist and the undead.
She is kind, curious and eager to experience the world while knowing how dark it can be. She works as a seamstress and opposes the ruination spread by Viego.
Their story belongs to Shadow Isles. Once the Blessed Isles; now a land of mist, wraiths and the ruined.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
Isolde's doll
Gwen began as a doll made by Isolde, a seamstress of Camavor, who put her love and longing for adventure into it. When King Viego courted Isolde, the doll was neglected.
- Step 2
Isolde's death
The relationship soured, and an assassin's blade killed Isolde. Viego carried her body to the Blessed Isles to revive her and instead unleashed the Ruination. Camavor fell and Gwen was forgotten for centuries.
- Step 3
Awakening
When Viego's return threatened the Shadow Isles, a fragment of Isolde's soul gave Gwen life. She found she had enchanted scissors, needles and thread, blessed by the Hallowed Mist. Watching a mother mend clothes for her children, she realized that her creator's true magic was love.
- Step 4
Sentinels of Light
She joined Lucian, Senna and the Sentinels of Light against Viego, serving as their tailor and making uniforms with Hallowed Mist thread.
- Step 5
Sealing Viego
In the final assault on Camavor Viego tore Isolde's soul fragment out of Gwen and killed her and the other fetters. Akshan revived them with his Absolver, and Gwen sealed Viego within the Hallowed Mist.
- Step 6
After the war
Gwen now clears the Black Mist from the Shadow Isles on her own. She recently attended the Midnight Revel, a ball held by friendly spirits, as guest of honor.
