Who they are
Diana hosts the Aspect of the Moon. She rejected Solari orthodoxy and is hunted for it, and she also fights Voidborn.
Their story belongs to Targon and also touches The Void. The tallest peak in Runeterra, and the beings who choose hosts there.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
Found on the mountain
Solari hunters found Diana as an infant between her dead parents on Mount Targon. They raised her in their temple among the Rakkor, the Tribes of the Last Sun.
- Step 2
The girl who asked why
Diana studied at night by moonlight and noticed that chapters about the moon had been cut from the texts. She asked why night was called darkness when moonlight existed, and was punished and isolated. She grew close to the devout Leona, who became her closest friend and later her lover.
- Step 3
A hidden truth
Years later Diana found an alcove showing golden sun warriors beside silver moon warriors, proof that an old civilization had honored the moon. Leona urged her to drop the matter. Diana decided to climb Targon for answers.
- Step 4
The Aspect of the Moon
At the summit a pillar of moonlight made her the host of the Aspect of the Moon, and her hair turned silver. Leona, host of the Aspect of the Sun, stood there too. Diana begged Leona to leave with her, Leona refused, and they fought. Diana held her blade to Leona's throat but could not strike.

Heresy and flight
At the Solari temple the high priests branded her a heretic. Her rage, boosted by the Aspect, erupted and destroyed the priests and many others. Shaken, she fled.
- Step 6
Wandering
Diana traveled the world following visions, and sealed a Void rift in a dark forest. Many Lunari came out of hiding. She and Leona saw each other again and silently chose not to fight. Later she guided the Sentinels of Light up Targon against the Ruination and then returned to her own life.

Where their story stands now
Diana lives in Ionia with no fixed home, still hosting the Aspect of the Moon. Her feelings for Leona are unresolved, her control over her power is incomplete, and Nami and Aphelios are both looking for her.
