Who they are
Pyke is a champion of Bilgewater's underworld.
Their story belongs to Bilgewater. A lawless harbor where anything can be bought, and the dead come ashore.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
A hauler on the Red Dock
Pyke worked in the slaughter houses of Bilgewater's Red Dock, hauling sea beasts for scraps. His drive earned him a place on a hunting ship, where he became one of the region's finest harpooners in the Buhru style.
- Step 2
Cut loose
On a voyage after a jaull-fish, whose magical oils were highly valuable, Pyke dove into its mouth to kill it. The beast's shriek brought others to attack the ship, and the captain cut Pyke's lifeline to save the crew.
- Step 3
Revenant
Inside the creature, something ancient awakened, and lights and whispers changed his body and mind. He came back as a revenant with strange powers and a single purpose, punishment.
- Step 4
The Ripper of the Red Dock
He returned to Bilgewater and hunted people tied to the Red Dock's corruption, including smugglers, slavers, crooked merchants and captains such as Miss Fortune and Gangplank. The city came to fear the Red Dock Ripper.

Illaoi's trial
The Buhru priestess Illaoi left the Serpent Isles to stop the killings. She beat him, saw his undead state as blasphemy and put him through Nagakabouros' test, expecting it to destroy him. The goddess judged him worthy, and he escaped, confused, with part of his former self restored and more control over his rage.
- Step 6
The Charming Lady
Pyke later joined Illaoi's crew on the Charming Lady, bound for the Shadow Isles with Ahri, Braum, Miss Fortune and Yasuo to face Viego. Most of the crew disliked him but his powers helped. He saved the Sentinels of Light from Miss Fortune after she made a pact with Viego.

Where their story stands now
Pyke is alive but permanently changed, caught between his vengeful nature and what Nagakabouros's test awakened. His list of captains is unfinished, his place among Illaoi's allies looks temporary, and how far the goddess's influence reaches in him is unclear.

Miss Fortune destroyed his ship, then consolidated control over the port and eliminated the Corsair's Conclave. Gangplank survived with Illaoi's help, and now rule of Bilgewater is disputed between them.
