Who they are
Sivir is Azir's last living descendant. Her blood on the sacred sands is what brought him back.
Their story belongs to Shurima. A fallen empire of living gods, waking up again.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
An orphan of the sands
Sivir was born in Shurima, and her parents were killed by looters while she was a child. She grew up on the streets with other orphans, stealing food and searching old ruins for trinkets. A friend named Mira tricked her and took what she had, and Sivir swore never to be betrayed again.
- Step 2
A mercenary captain
As a teenager she joined a mercenary band led by Siharo, first as a guide and then as a sergeant. She noticed Siharo kept most of the treasure, so she led a revolt and beat her in a duel. Sivir spared her life and left her in the desert.
- Step 3
The Chalicar
Her reputation brought a job to recover an ancient relic called the Chalicar. When the guard captain demanded it, Sivir refused and used its power to kill him and his followers. She kept the relic and her legend grew.
- Step 4
Betrayed in the tomb
A Noxian noble, Cassiopeia Du Coteau, hired Sivir to raid Shuriman ruins. Cassiopeia stabbed her in the back to use her blade to open a sealed tomb. The tomb's curse then turned Cassiopeia into a serpent, while Sivir was left nearly dead.
- Step 5
Azir's descendant
As Sivir lay dying, Azir, the last emperor of Shurima, appeared and saved her. He told her she was his descendant and carried royal blood. He took her to the Pool of Life to heal her, then began his own ascension, which raised ancient Shurima from the sands.
Turning points
- Defeated Siharo and chose to spare her
- Took the Chalicar and kept it
- Was stabbed by Cassiopeia in the tomb
- Was saved by Azir and told of her bloodline
Where their story stands now
Sivir still lives as a mercenary and treasure hunter and wants nothing to do with the throne Azir sees for her. Riot's lore says Xerath hunts her, Taliyah helped her recover, and Nasus sees her as key to Shurima's restoration. She has not accepted any of these roles.
