Who they are
K'Sante battles huge beasts and Ascended threats to Nazumah. He earned the title Pride of Nazumah by slaying a cobra-lion hybrid born of Xerath's experiments.
He fights with twin ntofos made from the beast's hide, and has learned that wisdom and humility matter as much as strength.
Their story belongs to Shurima. A fallen empire of living gods, waking up again.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
A hunter of Nazumah
K'Sante was born in Nazumah, a Shuriman city-state that rejected Emperor Azir's rule. Inspired by his parents and hunting tradition, he trained twenty years under several teachers to turn beast parts into weapons.
- Step 2
Hunting with Tope
He hunted with fellow hunter Tope, and the two took on rockbears, shakkal raiders and Xer'Sai. Their partnership turned to romance and they became a couple.
- Step 3
The cobra-lion
Xerath's experiments created Baccai monsters, including a cobra-lion with regenerating hide that ravaged the savannahs. K'Sante's pride made him dismiss Tope's careful plans, and the two split as partners and lovers.
- Step 4
Humbled
Alone for a year, K'Sante kept failing. He went looking for Tope, found he had moved to Marrowmark, and found his journal with theories on beating the beast using Nazumah's waters. Remembering his parents' teaching on humility, he lured it into a waterfall and killed it.
- Step 5
Pride of Nazumah
He made his twin ntofos from the beast's hide and carved the lion's head symbol from Tope's journal into them. He became the Pride of Nazumah.
- Step 6
A reunion
Years later Tope rescued him from Xerath zealots. They spoke honestly, K'Sante took blame for his pride, and Tope said he was marrying someone else, which K'Sante accepted gladly.

Azir was resurrected when Sivir, his last descendant, bled into the sacred sands. He restored his fallen city, and the new Shurima is reshaping the politics of the whole world.
