Who they are

Kha'Zix is a predatory Voidborn hunter.

Their story belongs to The Void. A realm of nothingness that wants to unmake the world.

Their story, step by step

  1. Step 1

    Made to hunt

The Watchers created Kha'Zix as a Voidborn scout to enter Runeterra and gather information. He began fragile and ravenous, eating weaker creatures to fuel his growth.

  2. Step 2

    Evolving predator

Hunting through Shuriman jungles and savannahs, he took on ever more dangerous prey. He can mutate his body from what he eats, and he grew wings after devouring jungle raptors.

    Legend of the Kiilash

The Kiilash vastayan came to know him as an unstoppable void horror. Even their chieftain Ponjaf could not kill him.

  4. Step 4

    Rengar's hunt

Ponjaf's exiled son Rengar was sent to bring back Kha'Zix's head to regain his honor. They fought from sunset to sunrise without a winner, and Rengar cut Kha'Zix's eye. It was the first time Kha'Zix tasted his own blood, and he now regards Rengar as a worthy equal and the prey he wants most.

Turning points

  • Growing from a weak scout into an apex predator
  • Defeating the Kiilash's best, including Ponjaf
  • Bleeding for the first time in his duel with Rengar

Where their story stands now

Kha'Zix is thought to still stalk the Shuriman jungle, evolving and planning hunts. His rivalry with Rengar is unfinished.

  3. The Void · step 3

    Icathia

Around 2500 BN the Icathians rebelled against Shurima, dug up a mysterious weapon and opened a huge rift. It destroyed their civilization and released countless Voidborn. The Rupture is still there.

  4. The Void · step 4

    Today

Nine runic seals slowly weaken, and Voidborn keep appearing. Some champions hunt them while others, like Malzahar, serve the Void or open new rifts.
