What it is

Odyssey takes place before either formal order and follows Kassandra or Alexios through a Greek world shaped by war, family and Isu artifacts. Its choices are player-led, but later canon uses Kassandra as a key anchor.

Codename Jade is set in Qin China between Odyssey and Origins. It is listed as an announced mobile chapter, so the guide does not invent unreleased plot outcomes.

The Isu framework is most useful when it explains why memory and artifacts matter without replacing human history. Their technologies give later factions objects to fight over, but the series' conflict remains about what people choose to do with inherited power.

The Isu past is powerful because it is incomplete. Later groups project their needs onto artifacts and memories, which means the ancient world becomes a mirror for current desires to predict, command or escape human uncertainty.

The short version

  • Isu artifacts predate the Assassin-Templar conflict.
  • Odyssey is a pre-Brotherhood story, not a story about the later Creed.
  • Jade belongs to the ancient historical range but remains unreleased.
  • Pieces of Eden amplify human ambitions, which is why the Isu past creates consequences long after the people who made the artifacts are gone.

The story in 6 steps

  1. Step 1

    Meet the artifacts

Power begins as technology mistaken for divine authority.

  2. Step 2

    Follow the family conflict

Odyssey frames legacy through bloodline and choice before it becomes an order.

  3. Step 3

    Place Jade carefully

Its Qin setting is confirmed; unreleased story is not treated as canon.

  4. Step 4

    Move to Egypt

Origins explains how resistance becomes the Hidden Ones.

  5. Step 5

    Treat power as inherited

Begin with the artifacts' legacy, then follow how each era turns that legacy into a new argument about freedom and control.

  6. Step 6

    Resist technological determinism

Treat every Piece of Eden as a test of its user: extraordinary tools change what is possible, but they do not absolve anyone of responsibility.
