What is The Continent?
The Witcher is a dark-fantasy world created by Andrzej Sapkowski and expanded in CD PROJEKT RED's games. Its political story is about Northern Kingdoms resisting Nilfgaard; its personal story is about people trying to keep family, choice and decency alive inside that conflict.
The game trilogy follows Geralt from amnesia in Temeria through the assassination crisis of the North to the Wild Hunt's pursuit of Ciri. The guide keeps books, games and future projects distinct whenever they do not share the same exact plot continuity.
The Witcher 3 remains active through its announced Remastered edition and Songs of the Past expansion, while The Witcher 4 begins a new saga with Ciri as the protagonist.
The Witcher connects monster contracts to a Continent where war, racism, magic and empire make ordinary people vulnerable. Geralt's work is never separate from that world; each apparent monster problem reveals who has power to define danger and who pays for its solution.
Ciri joins the trilogy's intimate family story to its largest political and supernatural stakes. The guide follows her agency through Geralt, Yennefer, Emhyr and the Wild Hunt, while treating the announced new saga as confirmed premise rather than finished canon.
