Who they are
Onyxia matters because a threat does not need to be openly present to reshape a kingdom. Her story turns Stormwind's surface calm into a question about who benefits from uncertainty and division.
She also links the human route to Blackrock Mountain, where the mountain's powers stop being distant rumor and become the context for pre-Molten Core conflict.
Their story belongs to Stormwind and Elwynn and also touches Blackrock Mountain. A peaceful frontier at the surface, with a kingdom's old debts and missing answers underneath.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
A black dragon's reach
Onyxia belongs to the black dragon power centered around Blackrock, but her danger is not limited to the mountain.
- Step 2
Influence from within
Her Stormwind connection turns political uncertainty into a weapon and shows why a capital's calm can be misleading.
- Step 3
Link the routes
Her relationship to Nefarian carries the human route back to Blackrock's layered crisis.
Turning points
- Extending black dragon influence beyond Blackrock.
- Making institutional trust a battlefield.
- Connecting Stormwind's politics to the mountain's wider danger.
Where their story stands now
Onyxia is presented as a looming launch-era threat whose exact Forever progression should remain open until Blizzard confirms it.
