What it is
Valisthea is divided by nations that rely on Mothercrystals and fear the spread of the Blight. Dominants, people able to become Eikons, are treated as military assets and political prizes rather than simply heroes.
Clive's journey begins as a personal tragedy but becomes a rejection of the systems that turn human lives, magic and the land itself into resources. It is a standalone Final Fantasy world, not a future or past of VII or XIV.
Valisthea's Dominants make power bodily and political: nations build their security around people who are celebrated as weapons and denied ordinary freedom. Clive's journey turns revenge into a broader refusal of a world that treats lives as fuel for inherited systems.
Valisthea's political geography makes crystal power inseparable from borders and class. A state that depends on a Dominant or a Mothercrystal also decides whose body, labor and future can be spent to keep that dependency alive.
The short version
- Dominants carry the power of Eikons inside a political world built to use them.
- The Blight makes Valisthea's resource order visibly unsustainable.
- Clive and Joshua's relationship anchors a conflict much larger than one kingdom.
- The Mothercrystals and Dominants connect resource dependency to human exploitation, making liberation more than a change of rulers.
