Who they are
Zidane's warmth and curiosity guide IX through questions of origin and mortality. He is not connected to Cloud or Gaia from VII; the games are separate worlds.
Their story belongs to Alexandria and Gaia. A fairy-tale world where identity, mortality and memory sit beneath a bright adventure.
Their story, step by step
- Step 1
Arrive without a past he understands
Zidane's openness and loyalty make him a counterpoint to the uncertainty around his origin and purpose.

What their choices leave behind
Zidane's arc gives IX its generous answer to mortality: meaning is made through the people one chooses and supports.
