What it is

Unity puts Arno between Assassin and Templar loyalties during the French Revolution. Syndicate follows Jacob and Evie Frye against industrial exploitation in London, where their disagreement is about method rather than purpose.

Chronicles: China, India and Russia are not mainline open worlds, but their protagonists preserve the international reach of the Brotherhood in periods the largest games do not cover.

Paris and London show cities changed by industrial wealth, surveillance and political violence. Arno, Evie and Jacob operate where class and public order are already unstable, so the Creed's promise of freedom must compete with the temptation to impose a cleaner solution by force.

Paris and London show how ideals can become institutions that surveil, discipline and sort people. The Assassins' work therefore has to confront not only a villain but systems that can survive a change of leader.

The short version

  • Unity makes faction loyalty personal through Arno and Élise.
  • Syndicate's twins argue over spectacle, stealth and responsibility.
  • Chronicles expands the historical map across three additional regions.
  • Industrial cities make control more systemic: information, labor and institutions can constrain people without a single visible tyrant.

    Look past the single antagonist
