Abstergo Entertainment

In this chapterJohn Standish, Abstergo's IT manager, is revealed to be a Sage.

The modern-day framing places the player as a nameless employee of Abstergo Entertainment, creating games from ancestral memories. The player investigates Edward's life and discovers hidden truths. John Standish, the IT manager, is revealed to be a Sage, a reincarnation of an Isu being. He tries to hide Juno's failed resurrection and is killed. Rebecca Crane then contacts the player.

The modern-day section is a satire of the game industry. Abstergo Entertainment markets history as entertainment and uses it as a tool for surveillance. The reveal of Standish is a mystery that ties the series' mythology to the present. Rebecca's contact shows that the Assassins are still active and that the player has become an ally.

What unfolds

  1. An Abstergo Entertainment employee investigates Edward's genetic memories.
  2. Standish tries to cover up Juno's failed resurrection and is killed by security.
  3. Rebecca Crane contacts the player, revealing herself as an Assassin.
