Peter and Miles destroy the meteorite, separate Harry from Venom and end the symbiote invasion. Miles restarts Harry's heart, but Harry remains comatose and Norman Osborn holds the Spider-Men responsible. Peter chooses to reduce his patrols and rebuild the Emily-May Foundation, leaving Miles ready to serve as New York's primary Spider-Man rather than as a substitute for Peter.
What it means
The ending rejects Venom's promise that love can prevent loss by removing every boundary. Peter saves the city only after accepting that care includes trust, distance and outcomes he cannot control. Miles resolves his grief by refusing revenge; Peter resolves his by sharing responsibility. Their growth is measured not by greater power but by the ability to let other people choose beside them.
consequences
The ending separates the two Spider-Men without dividing their purpose. Peter's rest is a choice to remain human and present, while Miles's continued work shows that care can be shared. The ending is best read against the earlier turning points: it does not erase their damage, but shows what the protagonists choose to carry forward after it.
