Ending explained

Every ending, what changes it and what it means.

~4 min read

God of War Ragnarök ends with the fall of Odin's order, the destruction of Asgard and two departures: Atreus goes after the giants, while Kratos begins a life built around helping the realms recover.

What it means

The ending is less about escaping fate than changing what a legacy can mean. Kratos cannot erase his violence, but he can refuse to make it the only inheritance he gives Atreus or the realms around him.
