Final Fantasy XIV does not have a single ending: its main storyline concludes the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga at the end of Endwalker, and later expansions begin a new story. This section summarises the Endwalker conclusion.

Zenos dies, Meteion's despair is resolved, Zodiark is defeated and the Final Days end. The Warrior of Light survives and the Scions begin to rebuild.

What it means

The saga's message is that life is meaningful because it ends, and that people can choose hope over despair.
