Every route, what unlocks it and what each final choice means.

Fallout ends in one of two ways: the Dweller stops the Master and is exiled by the Overseer, or the Dweller joins the Master and leads the super mutants against Vault 13. The main ending is the classic version: the Dweller saves the wasteland and loses a home.

outcome

The Master's plan collapses, the super mutants lose their leader and the Dweller returns to a vault that no longer wants him. The epilogue lists what happened to every settlement the Dweller touched. The Dweller can influence Shady Sands, the Hub, Junktown, Necropolis and the Brotherhood, and these outcomes become the background of the sequel.

What it means

The game's final point is that survival does not equal safety. The Overseer's exile of the Dweller is a story about fear of change, and the Dweller's walk into the wasteland starts the history of a new society.
