Revelations ends with Ezio's retirement and Desmond's awakening. It closes Ezio's story and prepares Desmond's. Jupiter's message tells Desmond that he must prevent the catastrophe.

Ezio opens Altaïr's library and finds Jupiter's message. He retires with Sofia. Desmond wakes from his coma and prepares for the Grand Temple.

What it means

The game is about endings. Ezio accepts that his work is done, and Desmond accepts that his is just beginning.
