En este capítuloSigurd and Eivor take revenge on Kjotve, but the clan's future in Norway is uncertain under new politics.
Eivor grows up as the adopted sister of Sigurd after her family is murdered by Kjotve the Cruel. As adults, the two take revenge, but Norway offers little future for the clan. Sigurd decides to leave for England in search of land and glory, and Eivor goes with him. The Norwegian prologue introduces the Viking world as a culture of clans, feasts and debts of honour, where revenge is expected.
The prologue sets up the game's key relationship. Eivor is loyal to Sigurd because he saved her, and many choices later are tests of that loyalty. Kjotve is the traditional Viking villain: cruel, ambitious and hungry for power. His defeat shows that Eivor and Sigurd can win but at a cost.
Norway is shown as a land where honour and politics are inseparable, which explains why Sigurd looks for a fresh start abroad. Eivor can be a man or a woman in the game; the story remains the same, and the canon is that Eivor is a Viking of the Raven Clan.
The visions of Asgard and Jotunheim that Eivor has later show that she is the reincarnation of Odin, who will meet Loki in Basim.
Lo que ocurre
Eivor grows up in the Raven Clan alongside her adoptive brother Sigurd after her family is killed by the rival king Kjotve the Cruel.
Sigurd decides to leave Norway and settle in England, and Eivor follows him as his right hand.
Eivor's visions and the sacred ravens mark her as chosen, and the game establishes that her soul is that of Odin.
Leaving Norway means leaving the clan's old politics and its enemies behind, but Sigurd also carries a burden of leadership.

Ravensthorpe and the Saxon kingdoms
En este capítuloEivor and Sigurd found the settlement of Ravensthorpe in England.
In England, Eivor and Sigurd settle in Ravensthorpe. To protect it, Eivor negotiates and fights through Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia and Mercia, deciding which leaders to support. Along the way she meets the Hidden Ones Basim and Hytham, who show her that a secret group, the Order of the Ancients, is manipulating the kings.
The England arcs are structured as regional stories. In each kingdom Eivor helps a ruler or a rebel, and the choice affects the political map. Ravensthorpe works as the game's home. Its growth is the long-term reward of Eivor's diplomacy, and every alliance is a risk. The English kingdoms are not simply enemies. Some are loyal allies, some are rivals and some are ruled by Order members.
Basim's presence is the first hint of a larger story: he is warm and charming, and later turns out to carry a much older identity. The arcs show the real history of the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms: Wessex, Mercia, East Anglia and Northumbria are in conflict with Viking raiders and with each other. The historical figures include Alfred of Wessex and Guthrum, which give the story a link to real events.
Lo que ocurre
To make the settlement safe, Eivor builds alliances with neighbouring Saxon kingdoms and Viking clans.
Eivor meets the Hidden Ones Basim and Hytham, who ask for help against the Order of the Ancients.
Eivor discovers that the Order of the Ancients is hiding behind the kings, nobles and churchmen of England.
Ravensthorpe grows into a settlement with a blacksmith, a stable, a barracks and other buildings that serve the clan.
Eivor's alliances with kingdoms are secured by deeds, and each region gives her a different political choice.

Hunting the Order of the Ancients
En este capítuloWith Basim and Hytham, Eivor eliminates Order members in cities such as Winchester, London and York.
Eivor and her allies track down the Order of the Ancients across England. In each city a different member holds power in disguise, and removing them changes the political balance. Meanwhile the story discloses Isu relics and the larger conflict between the Hidden Ones and the Order.
Eivor hunts Order members in English cities. The Order is concerned with power, and its members include nobles who profit from the Viking invasions. The Order hunt gives the game the stealth-and-assassination feel of earlier Assassin's Creed titles inside an open-world Viking story. Each target reveals something about how the Order works: money, church influence and royal marriages all serve as cover.
While Eivor wins battles, Sigurd's actions are gradually causing trouble at home. The Order's hunt is a typical Assassin's Creed investigation. Each target is a member of the Order whose death changes the local politics. Hytham and Basim are the Hidden Ones, and their goals are not identical: Hytham follows the Brotherhood while Basim has his own secret.

Eivor deals with betrayals and rivalries among Viking and Saxon leaders.

Sigurd's fall and Basim's secret
En este capítuloBasim reveals that he is the reincarnation of Loki and wants vengeance against Odin.
Basim tells Eivor that he is the reincarnation of Loki and that she carries the soul of Odin. His goal is revenge on the god who wronged him. Sigurd, manipulated by Basim and obsessed with an Isu relic, starts to believe he is a god.
Fulke captures Sigurd and Sigurd loses an arm. Eivor rescues him, they discover an Isu temple that simulates Valhalla, and Sigurd gives up leadership of Ravensthorpe to Eivor. The Asgard and Jotunheim visions place the Norse myths in an Isu context: the gods are Isu, and their conflicts echo in the present.
The fall of Sigurd is the game's most personal tragedy. The man who raised Eivor becomes a victim of a cosmic plan, and her love for him makes the choice to take his place painful. Basim's reveal reframes the earlier arcs: his friendship was real, but so was his plan.
The Isu simulation of Valhalla explains Viking religion as a memory of ancient technology, which is a central idea of the franchise. Basim's plan relies on turning Sigurd against Eivor. By making Sigurd believe he is a god, he removes Eivor's main support. The abdication scene is quiet and sad: Sigurd, wounded, hands his authority to the sister he once protected.

Layla and the Reader
En este capítuloLayla finds that Earth's magnetic field is destabilising because of Desmond Miles's activation of the Isu towers in 2012.
Layla Hassan relives Eivor's memories in the Animus and learns that the Earth's magnetic field is failing, a consequence of Desmond's act in 2012. To stabilise it she enters an Isu simulation. The simulation traps her, and she chooses to work with a mysterious entity called the Reader. Layla's quest in the present is connected to the Isu simulation.
Layla's storyline echoes Desmond's: both are modern characters whose actions change the planet. The Reader is a meta-element, and the franchise uses it to prepare for later titles. Layla's choice shows that she values the mission more than her body.
The Reader is a meta-character, and the idea that the franchise's story is read by someone outside it is a signal that the series is changing.

The ending is not about victory but acceptance. Eivor chooses to live with the god inside her instead of fighting or serving him. Refusing both Assassins and Templars echoes the philosophy of Odyssey: neither side has a monopoly on truth. Basim's final scene connects Valhalla to Mirage, since Basim's genetic memories become the next story.
The conversation with Odin in Vinland is a final statement that gods and mortals share the same cycle.
